Tv Pro box pixilating

Hi Folks, we have 1Gb broadband a TV Pro box and 2 mini boxes. All has been good until a few days ago when the Pro box started pixilating on mainly BBC, other channels only slightly and not at all on streaming from Netflix, Now, firestick, Amazon etc. The mini boxes are both OK. The Probox is connected via an extender due to there being 3 walls between it and the router. The room where it is situated does get 100Mb but we had issues when we first got the box and EE supplied the extenders which have, up to now, been good.

I have rebooted the Pro box and the router but no improvement. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Thanks for coming back and letting us know @remodot

Please do let us know how you get on over the next few days, hopefully this is sorted for you 🙂

Leanne.

Hi Again, all has ben good until a few days ago.

Every so often, maybe 2 or 3 times a day the programme freezes, it has happened on BBC, STV, Channel 4 etc. I get a code IPC6023. If hit the back button and go up a channel or down a channel then back the original the fault clears. It does not do this on streamed programs through the Pro box or when streaming through the tv or firestick.

We are retired so most days tv is on most of the day and it is very frustrating.

Any clues as to where the fault might be? I have not yet called EE as it is so infrequent they probably won't see the fault.

Thanks

Hi @remodot

I'm sorry to hear that this problem is back for you. The error code that you posted can be a complex one. I'd definitely recommend speaking with our technical support team so they can check everything from our side for you.

@remodot

The error you have, IPC6023, will only happen with channels in the EPG, and it means your box can’t quite keep up with the data being fed to it. (As to quite why, it can be complicated to find and fix, as @Christopher_G avers.)

But a workaround, though it is a little inconvenient, is to find the channels you are trying to watch in your apps instead of the EPG, and watch them there. Apart from the BBC iPlayer, though, the broadcaster apps on the EETV devices don’t carry the live channels, though those on the FireStick do.
