TV box pro - does it have to always start on channel 1

recently got a Sagemcom EE TV box pro.

One quick question I have though, is there any way to get the box to start on the last channel it was on? Mine starts on channel 1 every time it's been off for a bit?

I did put the hdmi power saver nice to always ready, assuming this would sort that, but it still starts on channel 1.

This is also just through an aerial and not though an EE TV subscription.
Thanks

James

There is no known reason for the TV Box to not resume the last channel, other than if the power has been turned off, or the last TV channel you watched is no longer available.  Even coming out of deep standby, it should still remember the last channel it was on.

Hi @james_uk.

Thanks for coming to the community.

Just to check, when the box isn't being used, do you normally put it into standby using the remote, leave the power saving to kick in automatically, or fully power it off at the wall?

Only speculating - i think that if you were using the Box Pro with an EETV subscription you would normally get the last EE provided IP channel you were watching prior to going into standby when you return to viewing. As you are clearly only watching aerial channels I think Youview is probably applying its PSB prominence user interface rules  when you are restarting your box. So channel 1 is the most prominent.channel.
