Speculation in the media BT are selling the shares in TNT sports, I would have thought BT would retain these share to boost TV offering with HBO max launching next year will this end exclusive deals EE customers ..is the end near

There is a joint venture company  that WBD and BT formed. I believe WBD have option to acquire the BT share in that company at two points in time ( one of which I believe has passed).  I believe that if WBD do not exercise their  option then BT would from a certain point in time be able to sell to other buyers . 

Even if BT were to sell there are I believe agreements for continuation of coverage for a number of years.

I hope EE TV will survive in some form after this, if it is agreed.

EE have put all their eggs in the one basket in my opinion, and if the Now TV deal ever ended like Talk Talk has done, that will be it, as the BT chairwoman is concentrating on broadband and mobiles apparently as mentioned in the same FT article.

Also interesting that Sky have announced a deal with WBD for HBO Max, but nothing from EE. Apparently HBO Max content will be available through Now TV.
