Hi, I’m looking for so clarification. Just upgraded my BT broadband connection and contract to Full Fibre 900 with BT/EE. In signing up I did a live chat with EE as my TNT Sports contract was about to expire and wanted to ask about the price for another contract along with the possibility of the latest router to maximise my WiFi capability. Long story but was told I could still get it through my Sky Q box and view the channels in the listings on Sky. Since the contract has gone live it now won’t show on Sky Q saying I haven’t a subscription? I have the transcript from the chat so basically have it in writing that nothing would change. I have tonight had another chat and got absolutely no answers, they even said they had no confirmation of any correspondence of my chat and TNT Sports order etc? Total and utter shambles. It shows my TNT Sports subscription on the EE app when I log in.
Just want some clarification as I would never have signed for this knowing that I’d have to use another box like EE TV or Apple TV to view it. They 100% said it would just work on my Sky Q box as normal, so where do I stand as I just want to view it on my Sky Q box as before.
Any help much appreciated.

It's possible something went wrong with the upgrade or they may havr accidently or incorrectly put you on a tv package from ee with a new box. Either way the only way you will know is to review the paperwork you would have been sent by email and go from there and reaching out to ee by telephone if needed

I’ve raised it as an Executive complaint. I have the chat transcript stating that my TNT Sports channels will still be available through my Sky Q Box so they haven’t a leg to stand on. I’m still within my 14 day cooling off contract so if it isn’t resolved today I’ll cancel the whole contract and go with Sky for broadband and all the sports. Shocking that they guarantee it’s available on Sky Q then as soon as I go to watch it through Sky I’m told I e no valid TNT Sports contract. Very unprofessional. If they want to be a big player in this market they’ll have to get their house in order or they won’t get off the ground.

If you have Sky, TNT sports is an add on, which is more expensive than through the EE route.
If it was BT Sports when you originally contracted at the cheaper price with BT/EE and there was a way to get this ported to your Sky Q, maybe that loop hole has been closed.
When you took out TNT sports perhaps the EE system went to sky and said this customer is taking TNT with us now and that is what has caused the issue.
TNT sports can still be watched using the discovery plus app which I am sure is available on the Sky Q box, so maybe the customer rep got confused and that is what they think you meant.
To watch Discovery plus with TNT Sport you maybe need to activate another login with EE using a different email address than you use for your sky one, log out of the Discovery plus app with your existing sky login and login with the new EE one.

@LeeJ67 I believe EE do not provide the same range of options as you had with BT and you seem to have been given inaccurate information. EE would expect you to arrange your own TNT Sports on Sky digital platforms wheras BT offered the TNT Sports on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform – BT Broadband customers .
With the evidence you have you seem to have a strong case to support your complaint. That said if EE don't offer the product then it will be interesting how the EE complaints management will respond.

You can get TNT to watch via Sky. It is £25 per month.

Just to clear up some things in this thread.
There absolutely is an EE package for TNT Sports on Sky, it just looks like the chat agent did not process this correctly or potentially did not have the capability to do so.
See the community post here on the launch of TNT Sport on Sky for EE Broadband customers from October 2024: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Broadband-Landline/TNT-Sports-on-Sky/td-p/1459548

Thanks for all the replies on this post. Today I never had a response to my complaint but did contact EE and BT regarding the matter and got absolutely nowhere. None of the customer service agents could assist and to be honest just couldn’t grasp what the actual problem was which is a concern in itself. There was confusion and conflicting information from different agents leading to me deciding to not continue with the contract and as I’m within my 14 day cooling off period just cancelled the lot. Been seriously disappointed and amazed how a company of the likes of EE can be so disjointed and clearly lacking the knowledge and understanding along with the experience in what they are actually selling.
Contacted Sky prior to cancelling to confirm the Full Fibre equivalent of the EE package and get a deal on the TNT Sports package and ended up almost £12 a month better off.
I did consider just cancelling the TNT with EE but after seeing the monthly saving and considering the amateur customer service I decided just to get out.
All I would say is to anyone considering going with EE for their TNT Sports experience and want it through their Sky Q box be careful as they haven’t a clue what they’re selling.
