TNT Sports is moving to HBO Max

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) have announced changes to how customers access some of their content.

What’s changing?

HBO Max app launches on 26 March 2026.

  • On 26 March, WBD will launch the HBO Max app
  • On the same date, TNT Sports will move from discovery+ to HBO Max

What this means for EE customers

EE customers will retain the ability to watch TNT Sports. App content will now be housed in the HBO Max app rather than the discovery+ app.

EE TV customers can continue to watch TNT Sports TV channels via the TV guide as usual, and if they have a TV box Pro, Edge, or Apple TV 4K, the HBO Max app will be available on those devices from 26th March 2026 (Apple TV 4K customers will need to download the HBO Max app).

See our help page for further information.

@BlackCatFTM if your subscription is through EE TV, then email me at eetvsupport@ee.co.uk and I can unlink your account (to allow it to be linked again).  If it's through EE mobile then unfortunately I'm unable to help.

Thanks DarrenDev. Yeah, I'm with EE mobile unfortunately.

@BlackCatFTM @Geoffrogers1078 email me at eetvsupport@ee.co.uk with your mobile number and a request to delink your HBO account - I have a colleague that can process EE mobile accounts for you.

Done. Thank you for your help!

So if Sky are now offering HBO max free, does that mean I can cancel my payment to EE for TNT?

Not unless you want to pay for tnt

just sign in with your email you used when using discovery

I watch TNT through my Sky Q, am I correct in thinking that nothing will change for me and that I don’t have to download the HBO app to continue watching it?

No, but if you want to watch it away from the Sky Q box, then you can use the HBO Max app in the same way you used to be able to use the Discovery+ app. The channels will remain unchanged on the likes of Sky / EE TV / Virgin, etc.

I have HBO free now with sky and alsoTNT with EE. I can get TNT no problem but no access to anything else. Am I losing out on everything this app has to offer cause I’m already registered with EE

I went into my sky app and got a list of everything in my package. HBO was in the list and all I needed to do was press Activate. I then cancelled my TNT Sport Add On with EE m9bile.
