Couple of observations/questions on the linear EPG TNT Sports channels
Firstly about content. Since the withdrawal of the Eurosport channels and their content being made available on TNT Sports I have noticed an increasing incidence of simulcasting the same broadcast on the main TNT Sports channels (1 to 4). This normally is for live cycling and snooker when frequently the same cycling race or snooker table match is broadcast on two of the TNT Sports channels main channels. Whilst broadcasters such as Sky may opt to do similar they (Sky) do promote their channels as Main Event and Mix etc so that practice is expected there. With TNT Sports these days it does seem that they are driving you to discovery plus if you want a choice of viewing. Having reduced the main linear channels by 2 by withdrawing Eurosport 1 &2 it does seem choice of viewing on linear channels is being reduced further.
The second point relates to the images/tiles used for the linear channel broadcasting in the EETV app and on the EETV boxes ( example home page and. On Now/Next images) . The images often are blank or generic and not related to the event being broadcast by TNT Sports these days. in contrast if you opt for the “more on discovery plus “ red button those same events have more meaningful images ).

Simulcasting the same content across multiple TNT channels is something I've also noticed, although never (to my notice) when this would mean bumping another event due to channel congestion... in other words, I suspect it's a tactic to limit the requirement for filler-content.
You'd have to take this up with WBD/TNT Sports, they are the broadcasters and thus dictate the content on their channels.

@bristolian Events available to be broadcast live during this afternoon simulcasting of. La Vueta cycling included two other live cycling streams Tour de l’Avenir and Para -Cycling Road championship plus an alternative table of the snooker quarter finals. So they have more live content options plus a vast stock of quality non live sport. From a commercial perspective they may be looking at boosting event viewing figures by simulcasting and perhaps prioritising programming based upon sponsorship/ advertising considerations.
