Strange problem rewinding live TV.

I can not rewind the program "This Morning" on ITV, weekday mornings.

Pressing rewind jumps back a second or so then back forward to the live bit then back a second then forward again for a very stuttery picture.

I have tried a couple of other channels and programs (live and pre-made) and they seem OK.

I am not really worried about that program as such, just curious why it is not working.

On what device is it not working, and are you viewing it via aerial or IP?

On the Pro box, you can’t rewind back live TV beyond the point at which you started watching it, though the EE Apple box should let you.

You're not the first person to report an issue specifically with "This Morning" not allowing trickplay.  We already have an investigation open for it - I've chased to see if there's any update.

It is the EE Pro box.

There is just no history for that programme, the little circle just moves along the line, there is no trail to show how far back you can go.

It seems to do it on all the channel variations on ITV1 (HD / +1 / normal) other programs I have tried are OK.

It seems specific to that program.

It has happened again, still on ITV1 but a totally different program.

11/8/24, Thunderball on in the afternoon.

I was pausing the transmission when I was interrupted and continuing later, no rewinding and I was no more than 30-40 minutes behind the live transmission.

All off a sudden the delayed recording I was watching jumped to "now" and I could not rewind it, same problem as described above (jumping back a second then forward again). There was still a history bar on the display showing where I started watching but not able to rewind.

Could have been a random glitch but a bit suspicious as ITV1 seems to have issues.

I have the same problem on Sky Sports through EE box which is much more annoying - not to be able to rewind sports programs!

Welcome to the EE Community, and thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

Could you please let me know a bit more about what happens when you try to rewind live content on Sky Sports? 

Also is it all the time this is happening, or is it intermittent?

I'm having the same problem....very frustrating!! Same as someone said above, you've paused TV, then it won't rewind even a few seconds to hear something again instead it stays in the present and you're missing the present too while you're trying to rewind !!  Also, you've had it on pause, you're watching TV then try to rewind a bit and it jumps to now and then you've lost everything you've saved on pause.  I was a BT view customer for many years, never had this problem.  Only had EE box a few months, starting to regret.  Do I get rid of the TV package and find another recording device???
