I have TNT Sports as a mobile add on, and I want to subscribe to Premium HBO Max, as far as I can tell, I can't add (pay extra) via EE and I can't do that directly through HBO Max, because it knows I'm "billed" though EE.
So I need one account for watching the sports and other account HBO Max content. What a mess.

Unfortunately that is correct. There's nothing that can be done about it.

What should have happened, was EE thought about these scenarios, 'm sure there is going to be more than just be in this position and worked on a way with HBO Max to give us upgrade options. Rather than thinking having two accounts is a good enough workaround.

This has been planned for many months, and everything that could be done, has been done. There are many things that are technically or commercially just not possible for BT/EE to do.

That might well be so, but you're going to tell me that none of the BT/EE project managers, thought "what happens if one of our customers wants to upgrade their package" and HBO didn't give any options to upgrade.or they thought the best customer experience was having us register two separate accounts which they need to switch between if they want to either watch TNT Sport or HBO Max content 🙄

I had to create two accounts. I have Sky, who are including HBO max basic with ads for free which can be upgraded to Premium for £10pm but I can’t link in my TNT Sports from EE/BT to it. So I use the sign in from my EE activated discovery+ to get access to TNT sports on HBO Max but I don’t get access to the non sport content unless I take out another HBO max subscription. TNT Sports should have had a separate app in my opinion.

I've discussed this further with the team, and also tested a few accounts.
You CAN add a premium subscription to your EE mobile add-on, but not by accident. The apps are specifically controlled to prevent accidental upgrades, due to the horrible complexity we have with EE and Now TV packages. This isn't a route that is actively promoted by EE.
If you want to add a subscription pass to an existing "Billed by EE" account, you need to do it on the web site. Select your avatar in the top right corner of the web site, and then "Subscriptions and Purchases". From there, there's an option to "Get access to more content" where you can directly pay HBO Max for your enhanced subscription.

Ok, this is sounding more positive. Any chance you could attach a screenshot from one of your test accounts, because I can't see that option on my side.

Hi @mh_ldn
I’m in the same situation as you 😞 One Account to access TNT Sports, a Second Account to access HBO Max content.
When I view Subscription, I see the same as your screenshot. No option to upgrade, as suggested by @DarrenDev.
I have TNT Sports Ultimate, as part of my EE Full Works for iPhone Plan.
Thanks in Advance
Barry 🙂

Your account is Billed through Discovery Communications as well? I have seen someone's else's HBO Max account and they have billed through EE which do give the upgrade options.
I don't normally like consequences, but seems like that is the issue, maybe our accounts were not migrated correctly. Or we have really old TNT / Discovery accounts and something needs to be updated on EE's side.
