Sky sports news 418

I’ve noticed that sky sports news 418 is now on my ee tv box - is this part of the entertainment package or part of the tnt sports package as it wasn’t available last time I looked and now is ?

@Eastie19  Sky Sports News is available to anyone who has a package that includes NOW Sky Sports.

All the channels available on the platform are visible in the TV Guide, you just need the right package to view them.

I don’t have now sky sports though , I have only the tnt sports package and sports news didn’t work before but now it does , I have however added entertainment as an extra so maybe sky sports news has come with that or been added to the tnt sports package ? I do not have the now sky sports package

Apologies @Eastie19 , I thought you could see it in the guide, not that you could also view the live content.

It used to be the case that you could watch Sky Sports News with a NOW Entertainment subscription, but that was before EE TV existed.

You haven’t started a NOW Sky Sports trial or similar have you? Can you see any of the other Sky Sports channels on 419 upwards?

There haven’t been any changes to NOW packages I am aware of recently and it certainly isn’t included with TNT Sports, totally different broadcaster.

No I’ve never taken a sky sports trial - the only now package I’ve taken is the entertainment one this month and I only noticed sky sports news was working on channel 418 - none of the other sky sports channels are activated . 
maybe it is now part of the entertainment extra which is very good news if it is ?

@Eastie19 Entertainment Extra is a legacy BT package, but if you mean NOW Entertainment, I would be amazed if Sky Sports News is included, so enjoy it while you can. 👍🏻

It certainly isn’t included according to NOW themselves:

You get Sky Atlantic, Sky Max, Sky Showcase, Sky Witness, Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky History, Sky Nature, Sky Crime, Sky Arts, Sky Sci-Fi, Gold, MTV, Comedy Central, Alibi, Sky Kids and BSL Zone.

You also get on-demand shows from all of these channels (except Sky Showcase), which means you can watch the TV you love when you want.

And for the little ones, there are 7 live kids' channels: Sky Kids, plus Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Cartoonito, Nick Jr and Nicktoons. On-demand shows are available for all these channels except Cartoonito. And you get box sets from Milkshake!, CBeebies and CBBC too.

Yes I have ee tv with the tnt sports package but took the entertainment extra add on at £9.99 a month through ee tv , sky sports news did not work before when I had only tnt sports so I can only think it must now be part of the entertainment extra add on , I get those channels you mentioned above with the add on  extra but also sky sports news 👍

It's been part of the now entertainment subscription for years, maybe because it's technically classed as a news channel.
