When I'm watching a program I have recorded i will fast forward and if I go to far and try to rewind and it carries on going forwards.
Is there a fix for this problem?

@luntyboy i believe you get a timeline which shows the speed of fast forward , rewind etc.
What are you experiencing when you attempt to to switch from FF to rewind ? Ie if FF for example at 30x and you press rewind button does the timeline display change from 30x FF. to 2x rewind or does this remain in FF mode ?

I will fast forward at 2x 6x 12x to get to where I want to but if I go past it, I will try to rewind but it doesn't. It carries on going forwards at a faster speed than the 30x. I will have to fast forward to the end of the recording to try and get to where I want to because the rewind doesn't work, it just fast forwards really fast.
It does the same if you hold down the fast forward and then try to rewind holding that down too. It still goes forward no matter what I do.

Have you tried going back to Play before attempting to rewind from fast forward?

Yes but it doesn't help. If I need to

Hey there @luntyboy.
Welcome to the Community 😊
When you're encountering this issue, is it with content from any particular channel or service, or does it apply to everything?
Have you had a chance to try a light reset on your TV box, too?

It happens on anything I record. It's an ongoing issue i have. It used to happen on my old BT TV box and when I got the the new EE TV box I thought it would've been fixed but it's not

Thanks @luntyboy, have you tried giving that reset a try?
Also what exactly happens if you select play like @Midnight_Voice recommended?
You should be able to hit play, let a few seconds of the programme play out, then opt to rewind back from there.
