Return of old BT box

I have recently renewed my contract as the BT box I had became faulty as it would not update. I am now EE. I sent the old one back via the post office, but I am receiving messages that it has not been received, I can not find my proof of postage and now I'm worried I am going to get charged. Any advice? My question would be why would I want to keep an old box that doesn't work?

This is why everything I’ve sent back to BT and now EE, I track via the RM app.

On 1 I got a reminder threatening, from and to’d the letter with proof of delivery, and got a call apologising saying they were behind logging the returns.

If you know the date you handed it over to the Post Office, can they check back and see it in their system and give you a tracking number (ending GB usually)?

I may try that. Speak with the post office. I did think there may be a backlog because of Christmas

Bound to be. We’ve had no mail delivered this week at all, but that’s weather.

When they were behind with mine, it was months ago, so would likely be worse now.

Worth a try w the PO. Good luck 🤞
