Recording problems. Again

I have also had great problems with ee tv not recording all of a scheduled programme if the event runs over the prescribed scheduled time. I took the previous advice offered and set the following programme to record to allow for this happening but that didn't work. It didn't even record the advertised programme that was due to follow. As a result I missed half of a motor race. Surely if Sky can sort this out so can ee?

It's an otherwise good service but this is becoming a very frequent issue.

Surely something can be done?

Unfortunately the reason we cannot sort this for Sky channels is because usually Sky don't notify us of late programme changes on their channels. If they provide us updates, we send them to EE TV boxes straight away.

@Sheila2903 , if it was F!, then there was a Red Flag and delay, so unless EE are told about the delay, that is that the program will overrun, I suspect that is why. I do not have EE TV nor Sky Sports, but thank goodness was able to watch it live via German satellite, which does not always happen, so have to otherwise watch the highlights on Channel 4, unfortunately.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Thanks for your response.

However, you had previously stated that to resolve this issue the following programme should be set to record. Presumably this would mean that any over run to schedule would be captured.

I followed this advice but that didn't work. So can I ask, is this no longer a workaround and is there anything that can be done please?

Hi. Thanks for your response.

It was actually an indycar race that took place 2.00am GMT!

I do like the sport but wasn't about to watch that live!

The race had a few cautions and a red flag so the recording only picked up 150/260 laps.

Interestingly the repeat programme also only showed th reduced recordings. Presumably ee would have been aware of the over run 24 hours later??

Hi. I was wondering if you had any further response to my reply of 9 June? Is the work around no longer viable?

Thanks in advance

Setting the following programme is still the best option, however you were unlucky in your example that the details of the following programme were changed, causing it to not be seen as the same thing (and thus didn't record).
