Re: How do I cancel Apple TV+ contract?

Refreshing this to save creating new post. I have been moved from BT to EE, broadband and TV. Activated the 'free' 3 months Apple TV on BT prior to move to EE. Now have absolutely no way of cancelling it. Next bill shows I will be charged £8.99 for a service I have never used during free trial, and no b.....y way of removing it.

Please no silly replies from EE advising me to access my account. I have tried everything mentioned on here before posting.

Hey @tintowellfan,

Sorry to hear you're having problems, I would appreciate some context into what problems you've ran into when trying to cancel Apple TV+, customers are supposed to be able to opt out/cancel but I do know we've had some issues recently, some of which may be stopping you from doing it yourself.

Hearing your experience will give me insight into what we need to change, you can send me a private message with that though to keep the thread short and sweet!

Please be assured though, I've saved you the pain and cancelled it for you! However...

EE TV comes with 6m Free Apple TV on us! Would you like me to give you another 6 months for free? 🎉

@tintowellfan  I’ve moved your comment to its own thread as it’s not the same issue as the thread you posted in.      You need to call customer support to have this removed as it was linked to your BT account.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks, but what a total pain in the backside. BT/EE have conspired me to almost 7 hours on hold/talk already since December about other issues relating to migration from 'BT' to 'EE', and I have lost the will to call again. Probably just going to cancel all payments and let my bank deal with it now. BT and EE are same group, but BT were always great with customer services. EE is s..t.

@DarrenW-Tech  There are many new EE broadband customers who can have the free Apple TV+ for 6 months myself included but when trying to add this via the App we all get

Hi Darren, thanks so much for your wonderful help. Best customer service to date.

I was unable to cancel it myself as there was nowhere in my EE account to do so. I only knew I was going to be charged for it when I received an email from EE a few days ago.

I will perhaps give your offer of 6 months a miss just now as we don't watch anything on Apple TV, but thanks for offering to do so.

Thanks again. Posting it here rather than as a PM, as I wanted to share with other community members to show how helpful you were.

@Chris_B  This is a shame and I will feed it back to design.

To see the activation journey for Apple TV+ it must be added to your account either at the point of order, or later after.

Because Apple TV+ is not on your account, attempting to activate won't work, we shouldn't be showing this journey to you right now.

Having said that, it is something I can get added for you, would you like it?
