I've migrated from Sky to EE TV, and like it so far. The one thing that I miss the most, is the Disney+ app. So please add the Disney+ app to the store.
I have the TV Box Pro.

Commonly requested @DocBean , but it's not our decision - it's between Disney and YouView. We really hope to see it on the platform soon too!

I pay separately for Disney. Why cannot I install it as an app accessible through the box?

See the message directly above yours @Calella88 . Apps created for other platforms won't run on YouView boxes - they need to be specifically updated to run on it.

How do I 'specifically update it' please? Is there not just an option for the box to access the internet?

See my response to your other post.

You cannot install any apps where do you plan to get that app from ? Theres no store to get it from.
The most important part is apps are created for the platform it’s install on. You can’t just install any app until that app has been created for the software on that device.

So the box is barring access?
Previously I had installed them on a generic smart tv. Is the box less capable?

Well when another app was provided in December 2024 this is what EE said
"EE today announced that the Paramount+ app is now available for EE TV Box Pro and EE TV Box Mini customers to access via the Apps rail on their device. The launch expands on EE TV’s already extensive entertainment offering, providing a truly great TV experience for the busiest home.
The addition of the Paramount+ app is the latest step in EE’s plans to provide customers with the best TV content and features available, making it even easier for users to access all of their favourite content in one place."
So if EE plans involve adding the Paramount + app on its boxes I would have thought that Disney would have figured in EE plans too rather than being left to Youview. . So do we know who is the decison maker and owner of the EETV roadmap in EE is at the moment ?

@Calella88 No the box isn’t baring access the box doesn’t have access. You don’t seem to know what you’ve got and are assuming you can install apps on it. There’s no App Store, apps are automatically installed once and when the source provider of that app/service has created that app and with the permission of the youview because they came to an agreement for that app to be installed in that box.
Not all streaming boxes are the same not all streaming boxes offer the same services.
