Now TV audio description

Since yesterday, various shows via the NOW TV app on my EE box have audio description turned on and no way to turn it off as the options in audio & subtitles  are English or English with 1 of them permanently selected.

This must be a problem with the EE box app as this does happen on the Now TV app in my phone, PC or smart TV.

Anyone have the same issue?

This is a known issue with the Now TV app on the EE TV Boxes.  Now TV are aware, and they're working on a fix.

Yes! I’ve been having the same problem, but it appears to only be with 1 tv show that I’m watching. Like you, it doesn’t do it if I watch Now TV on my phone

Now TV don't support Audio Description on the EE TV Box, but accidentally turned it on - this is what caused the original issue.  They fixed it later that day, and we're not aware of it still happening.

@Nikki210182 what programme are you watching that is playing Audio Description in the Now TV app on the EE TV Box?

I have also got this issue on the now tv app on the ee box its got audio description on and we cant turn it off. This was on the how to train your dragon live action movie but when we tried a different movie it didnt have it on.

Thanks @Kay2026 - we've passed this info onto Now TV.

As an aside Now have been reporting on their service status page for several weeks an issue with audio description (affecting all platforms)

Currently (4march) the information from NOW is

 

“Availability of audio description is currently limited.

Audio description isn’t available for any on-demand shows or movies right now due to a technical issue. Our teams are working hard to resolve this issue. Thanks for your patience, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience.”

 

I also have this problem 

I have the same problem as above when will this be fixed?

Now TV have told us they expect this to be fixed by this Friday (i.e. tomorrow).  They haven't given any more detail yet.
