Now TV Sports

I'm thinking of dumping Sky Q for the EE TV Big Sports package. I have a question regarding the Now TV part of the sports package. If I want to watch a live event, like football or an F1 race, 30 minutes after the event has started, do I have the option to 'Watch from start' or 'Watch live' ?

I know TNT Sport has this option but I'm unable to get an answer regarding Now TV. I asked Now TV directly but they said I could only watch the event 'live' as it is streamed so I would miss the start. The only way to watch the whole event would be to wait for it to be added to the catch up list, which could take up to 24 hours! I find this hard to believe and hope someone from this group may have first hand experience of this situation.

Thank you.

On the TV Box Pro, you can rewind the channel if you were already watching it - up to either the point you joined, or 2 hours ago (whichever is shorter).

On the Apple TV, you can rewind most channels up to an hour behind the current position even if you've only just tuned to it.

Hi..... Apologies if I've snuck in here. This isn't the best of forums software...

I have EETV and a router. Really happy with it but cannot get NOW TV to work with my EE set up as I have been told is easy... ??? !!!

On Sunday I wanted to watch my local team who were on NOW TV but no joy getting it all to work seamlessly so I went to my MacBook and logged in to my NOW TV account and cast it to my new TV.... The picture was chronic and lagged with all vocals it was quite pathetic.

How on earth 🙂 can I get NOW TV to work with my EE TV set up as I was told???

Thanks David

What issue are you having with it @davidcantswim ?  Your account looks to be set up OK.  You don't had the HD add-on, so as long as you select one of the SD channels, it should work fine.  You also don't have Sport on your account, so it'd need to be one of the entertainment or movie channels you're trying to watch.

Also, you haven't set your password on the Now TV account associated with EE, which suggests that you have another Now TV account with a sport subscription on it?

I can't log in to the sports package. I have tried a few times???

Sorry, looks like a technical error

Where were you trying to watch your direct Now Sports subscription? If on an EE TV device, then you should know that this will keep automatically  reverting to your EE TV Now subscription.

You can override this, but it means that you need to log out of the EE TV Now subscription, and then log in with your direct Now Sports one for the duration of the session.

It may be easier to use Now on a non-EE TV device, if you have one, in order to watch Sports, as that will stay logged in to the direct subscription, and just use the EE TV device for any Now subscriptions you have with EE TV.

But did you get the error message above trying to watch direct Now Sports on an EE TV device without changing the login? If so, that would be an error in Now on EE TV, which should just have told you that you didn’t have a Sports subscription . And maybe encouraged you to buy (another) one!

As I've mentioned @davidcantswim you don't have Sport as part of your EE TV package.  The Now TV app on your EE TV Box will automatically log in with the subscription associated with your EE TV, which doesn't have Sport on it (it does have a weird "Sports Day Pass" subscription on it - this is nothing to do with us, and I can only assume  it was on your account before you added EE TV).

If you're watching Now TV Sport channels from another device then I assume you have a different Now TV login to the one you used to log into this forum.
