Been with Sky for 20 plus years and paying for the privilege, made a snap decision which is very unlike me, I can cope with a change with the OS / Interface, however I was told when I ordered, told when enquiring in store and it was repeated in store today that I cannot record on the mini box ( I can live with that) but I can watch recorded content on My Tv, been on hold for 50 minutes only to be told yes I am correct you cannot record and no you are not correct that you can watch items in My Tv, in fact they just don't appear, I'm now in a position Sat in the back room while the kids have primacy and I'm left with whatever I can find and can't watch what I have recorded. Personally a backward step and worst of all, just about everyone says it can be done, but alas not, feeling a fad let down and mis-sold. Anyone else had the same experience?

The lack of HD / 5.1 is the responsibility of the app owners - i.e. the channel providers.
Adding features to the My TV rail is the responsibility of YouView.
You've said "Apple TV 4K owner can already track catch up viewing on most apps through the Apple TV+ app" but that doesn't help users with a TV Box Pro and/or TV Box Mini.

I think it would be a good thing if it can be worked out to share watch lists from streaming apps across the rails between TV Pro and mini boxes under one households network.
It's good and appreciate that you are continuing to develop the youview software for Pro and mini box customers @DarrenDev
As you say the majority of people will forget about recording as catch up apps take on and people realise that they don't need to record episodes of Coronation Street for example.
Not sure if the Pro box will still be viable in 5 years, especially if some of the free to air channel gaps are plugged in with the mini box and Apple Pro as there are alot of customers on here that seem to take issue with that.

@ROYgifford1901 Did you not get the tin foil head wrap that comes with the EE TV Pro Box?

Go and research the difference between 5G telephone service, 5GHz WiFi, and microwaves. This may be helpful.
And have you thought that it might be the TV, nor the box, giving you headaches? As a test, leave the box running, but leave the TV switched off for 24 hours, and report back, and we can go from there.
