Latency on Apple TV 4k

I’ve just received my EE Apple TV 4K having already been a long term Apple TV user. Service will be switched on on Monday and I’m looking forward to seeing how it is. However,I’m wondering what others experience is of the latency of live TV? I’ve got the full sports package and wonder how to minimise the delay. I’m coming from Sky Q.

@Profile closed  There’s nothing you can do,  but to be honest it’s not like your going to be comparing it against another broadcast at the same time.   Ie watching on 2 TVs to notice what the difference will be.

Thank you. I also wondered if anyone had a rough idea of the time delay? We’ll be on 500mbps

As long as next door don’t cheer too loudly 😛

It has to be a minimum of 2+ seconds behind live, due to the way the video is packaged. In my experience, it sits at around ~30 seconds but I know mine runs a little slow.

Many thanks to everyone for their replies. I've found that live sport has quite a delay compared with Sky Q - I certainly get text alerts of a goal around a minute before the gameplay. I know Sky Stream has a new low latency option. Does EE have plans for similar does anyone know?

And any news on UHD?!
