starting point
selected BT Broadband customerI have looked at previous questions re Firestick and EE wifi but my issue is slightly different but same result no connection.
I use EE wifi when visiting my friends house as can get good connection and he does not have broadband in his house. My computer my pad and my phone all connect with no issues.
I bought him a firestick to gain access to some more TV and having issues signing in
If using the Firestick remote control and I plug the stick into HDMi 1 and select cponnect to Network the EE Wifi appears and says Signal Good, then I select this with the main circle control and it then goes to Confirm Network, I press the circle again and it presses connect, then the Log in page of EEwifi appears with https...... /home again I select log in now by pressing the circle and it takes me to EE account and BT Broadband account then I select BT broadband as this is my home router and when press the circle again on the firestick nothing happens. When I then press the right arrow with 11 on it trys to go to sign in page I know this as the https changes to home/#login-dialog but we go back to the Welcome to EE wifi page again pictures below.

Day 2 and the worst nightmare as I am now getting the same issue that Karen207 was having when she posted her request for help. That is the EE wifi will display a box for cookies but you cannot see the select option as it is below the screen level. I have tried to change the aspect ratio of the TV to no avail regardless of the ratio I choose. I think EE have got their aspect ratio wrong and its impossible to move the box. When use cursor it moves the screen behind the box and not the box itself. Now lost as to what can do as this seems an issue with EE and the way they display their choices, any help please.

Apologies. I was tired and stressed. It's working fine, now. Why is that?

Hello @Bewdley13.
Thanks for coming back and letting us know this is now working.
I'm not sure what could have caused this, if you see this again please be sure to let us know.

26/02/2025. Back again, buffering throughout an epsiode of Unforgotten on ITVX, Time is 19.02. Unable to watch, it is just too annoying. Can you please confirm if there is an issue with EE Full Fibre 900 and Firestick. I never had a problem with BT Smart Hub 2.0. None at all. If this was a known issue when this package was advertised and sold to me as an 'upgrade', then I would like to be put back to my original package with BT. I couldn't care less if it costs me more per month for a so-called inferior, slower package with BT. At least it worked. All the time. I was looking forward to watching the football this evening, now it looks like this will not be possible. I hope EE do refunds.
Oh, and my account won't link up to my ID for some reason, so I can't link the app to my account. I'm sure you'll agree that this is completely unacceptable.

I'm having a different experience depending on when I am watching the tv via the apps / firestick. I watched ITVX yesterday morning, at around 7am, and it worked perfectly. Yesterday evening, it was unusable, freezing and buffering. This morning - perfectly fine, no freezing or buffering. Why the difference between evenings and mornings?

Hello @Bewdley13.
Thanks for coming back.
I am sorry to hear this has happened again, I understand how frustrating this must be.
I'd recommend giving us a call so our technical care team can get this looked into.
The team will also be able to look into linking your account and raise a ticket if this is required.

I haveexperienced similar before with different network, it was explained to me that in the morning the kids are not on the net much in the evening they can flood on causing major issues depending on if it is fast Fibre or the old copper route telephone wires. In many rural areas the fibre goes to a BT box andthen uses copper lines to the houses, in towns Fast Fibre is more common and of course can cope with excess loads. I remember Bewdley with lots fondness but not the flooding!

Hi, thanks for your reply! It’s the full fat fibre 900 with a wire from the pole across the road to our house. I think! No kids here at night, only the two of us. Everything works fine on laptop and desktop, just the fire stick apps on my 16 year old Plasma. But only at night. I’ve spoken to EE today they assure me it’s not the table lamp that sits right next to the router that’s turned on in the evening. But going to try turning it off anyway tonight to see what happens!
Did you live in Bewdley? Far from the river?

Thanks, yes it’s lovely round here!
The thing is, we never had any issues when we had a slower system with BT smart hub 2.0. No buffering, no freezing, at any time of the day.
