Internet mode and aerial mode

I wonder if I’m reading this right, or if the information is out of date.

I’m under the impression that with the TV box pro I should be able to record four programmes. But the help pages appear to say that you can either run your box in “Internet mode” OR “aerial mode”. In other words they are mutually exclusive. I don’t have an aerial feed at the moment so can’t get Freeview - the amplifier in the loft space, which sends the signal to rooms around the house, has packed up. I set up the TV box in internet mode but, to my surprise, there are a number of Freeview channels missing. The only one that I miss is PBS America.
The help pages tell me that you have to reset the box, lose all your recordings and access to Sky, TNT etc, in order go to aerial mode for full Freeview access.

I assumed that when setting up you plugged the aerial into the EE box instead of your TV and it would tune automatically into all the EE internet programmes along with Freeview. In Internet mode it seems you can only record two programmes at the same time, but in aerial mode you can record four, which assumes four tuners.
This doesn’t really make sense to me.

Internet mode allows you to watch some Freeview channels, in addition to all your subscription channels, without a TV aerial.  You're limited to 2 simultaneous recordings. The list of available channels is here: https://www.bt.com/help/tv/guide/ip-freeview-guide

Aerial mode provides you with all the Freeview channels available in your area, as well as all your subscription channels.  You're limited to 4 simultaneous recordings.

You need to factory reset to switch between modes.  You can use the maintenance mode reset to keep your recordings, and some of them will still work afterwards.
