Hi, can anyone help with a sound issue. Sound is fine until after an advert while streaming on Discoveryplus. Sound then goes off. I can switch to other channels and sound is fine. Then switch back to Discoveryplus and sound is fine until after the next advert. TIA.

I’m having this issue, Sony Tv going through a Sonos sound bar.

sound cuts out after an advert, I have to come out of the show and go back in to get the sound back.

also happens on the box we have upstairs and that’s sound through TV with an LG TV.

looks like it’s definitely an issue with the app on the EE box as this didn’t happen with our BT box.

would be nice if they fixed it!!

Hi All,

I'd like to let you know all know that we're aware of this issue and have fixed it in a future software update. I'm trying to get hold of some finer details on when we expect that update to land on your TV boxes, so once I have that I will share it here.

Sorry for the inconvenience with this one, I appreciate it's an annoying one!

Yes, I've given up with the EE box, I watch Discovery plus direct through
the Panasonic App, no issues at all.
I only use the EE box to record things.
I don't think they have any intent on solving it.

The fix is currently in trial and should be rolled out to all TV boxes by 18th March.

Thanks for the update
Thanks for the update, it's a pity that engineers at EE haven't been doing
their jobs in the first place.

Well I have since realised that the sound only goes off when the little icon on the top left of the tv shows up saying AD, if I exit and go back into the program I was watching  the ad icon goes and sound is back to normal, maybe the update will fix it.

Again as I  said before. It's not the bt or ee tv box that's causing it as I am running the app on a samsung tv and it does it. Updating a tv box that is non existent is not gonna fix it. It's the app that's at fault.

Has the update taken place as I was having the same issue last night and ever since I have had my EE box

Sorry I'm not aware of any update from EE at the moment.
