I've had my EE TV box pro for a couple of weeks but can't connect my phone to the ee app. I had a conversation with an ee advisor but unable to resolve the problem. My Samsung tab works but not my Honor phone or my wife's samsung. Tried everything I can think of, reinstalling app, soft reset of TV box.

Can anyone help pleas

Thanks I'll try that tomorrow.

Morning.   Update 2.            Last night I was pondering the problem and thought I use Opera as a browser which is a Norwegian compantly. So I had a scroll through the settings and lo and behold " VNP on". Turned it off. Popped whatsmyip.com  in found my phone is back  in Falmouth. Deep joy.  I used Opera for at least 10 yrs on computers phones a tablets and never had trouble before.  Checked again this AM working fine. Thanks for all your help a patience I would never have tracked it down on my own. But before I leave you in peace there I one other little niggle. When I select recommended stand by mode and press done button it reverts back to auto stand by every time. Not a major concern but if you have any thoughts and the time I'd be interested.

Thanks again for all your help, have a great Christmas and New Year

Regards Len

Amazing - thanks for confirming, and also for the extra initiative in checking out Opera configuration.  That's very useful information to know.

The power saving settings have 2 settings that are individually controlled:

Automatic Standby: this controls how quickly the box will go into standby, if you don't press any buttons on the TV Box, or on the remote. After this time, the box will go into FAST standby - it comes out of this mode instantly, if you press the button to turn it on.

Standby Mode: this controls when the box goes into DEEP standby. When selecting the recommended option, the box will go into this mode between the times shown on screen. This saves a lot more power, but the box takes a few minutes to wake up if you try to use it during those hours.

So when you say you select Recommended, but it reverts to automatic standby, they're actually different settings.

Sorry if I've misunderstood what you're asking.

There are 3 options, the top Auto, middle recommended, third always ready. I was trying to get the recommended setting by  pressing the done button to select that option and clear the screen, when I returned to power and standby it reverts to auto. But whilst writing this I've checked again there are now only 2 options  the middle "recommended" option is missing.

Perhaps that means it now in operation. Any way I won't bother you any more, it is what it is. Sorry to ramble on. Cheers Len
