Those extra boxes connect to your individual TVs by HDMI cable & then over wifi or hardwired ethernet cable to your router. There is no sharing of recordings between the boxes and typically you'd only have 1 recording box anyway. It's not like SkyQ which I think allows the mini boxes to view recordings on the main box.
