When I look up articles on how to sync my tv remote with my EE TV box pro
I get moved to articles on how to enter a manufacturer code on the old BT box
Which preceded the EE box. Trouble is that the EE remote is different from
the BT one so it is impossible to enter the manufacturer code.
Is the process of syncing different on the EE box and if so what is it?

You can’t programme the remote with a code, it should work for basic functions automatically. If not, try the following:

What make and model of TV do you have?

We can’t see what’s in the image you posted as of the time of this post, maybe it needs a Mod to unlock it 😢
But even ‘working for basic functions automatically’ assumes a correct setup procedure, and one in which the Box can determine the make and model of the connected TV as one that the remote has in its repertoire.

It’s exactly the same instructions as you posted a link for, just the EE version.

I could suggest getting an older YouView remote, into which the OP could put a code, but I don’t know whether there are any codes that the Pro remote doesn’t know anyway.
There’s always been talk of badge engineering of TVs, by Cello and the like, but you would hope that the discovery process by the Pro box could see past that.

Hisense (BT code 1793)

Read these two articles. I suspect your Hisense may have been made in Hungary, and does not use that generic single number.
