Hello
I am thinking of getting EETV (over Sky Stream)...
Firstly, anyone have any recent experience of both and how does the hardware compare?
I know that with Sky Stream I will get local BBC HD channel (on 101) by default, is this the case with EE TV ? Reason for asking as the Aerial would not be available where the box would go
Sky Stream does seem a tad cheaper....
Thank you

The link is working now but check that the EE channels without an aerial are what you require as more are available via sky stream.
The benefit of EE is that you can record on the pro box rather than rely on catch up apps or cloud recordings (except BBC as these are linked to the iPlayer) but if you select the apple TV box you can't record and would have to rely on the apps but with the apple TV you can have any app on the box that is on the apple app store.
PS don't expect the disney plus app on the pro box as it is not available at present. No one knows if or when it would be added and some apps do not have live streams, but these are available on the apple TV box.

Yes, you'd get BBC1 HD w/out an aerial. It's on Channel 1 - see EE TV channel guide

Is that local BBC HD (South for me) that the box will default to in Internet Mode (forgive me if that is the only HD they would use)?
Just cant be **bleep**d with the hassle of getting it realise I am stuck with BBC London (I live no where near the place), or like ITV HD (Midlands - again, no good).
The link is not working, so will have a look another time

The link is working but the site is down for maintenance at the mo' as is EE's wont!

There are regional versions of the BBC 1 and ITV 1 provided when using the IP mode (non aerial) provided in the FreetoAir section of the EPG. Those would be HD versions and occupy channel numbers 1 and 3, The criteria for deciding which version you get or are offered would be be based upon your location as determined by EE so you should get a regional version.
