EETV App no longer pairs with TV Box

All of a sudden this morning the pairing between my iPhone EETV app and my DTR4000 box is broken and since then I've been unable to re-pair it , getting an AY180 error.

I've tried :-

Power off - restart

8 secs reboot via the power button

Reboot router - an Asus btw

Maintenance mode reset - option 2 (Factory Reset - Keep recordings)

Deleted & re-installed the app

Logged the app into my EE account.

All these haven't solved the problem, I will try an option 4 reset when I get a chance as that's really the only other option now available to keep my recordings.

I should add that this occurs on my iPad as well.

Note I don't have a TV subscription.

Without the ability to remotely record this box is now of far less use to me and I'll either replace it with the latest Manhattan or just use my old Panasonic recorders which are far better & more reliable than these Youview/EE/BT units.

Well all is OK now.

Could have been a EE/BT TV services issue or mine in that my DNS settings for OpenDNS were wrong and definitely would have been a general problem for me but why all of a sudden should it affect the pairing?

Was there an overnight update with maybe a new URL that needed resolving or something similar?

Any ways all good now.

@Timbo45

Are you on BT or EE broadband? The BT status page is reporting TV difficulties.

It may be them, not you 😛

@Midnight_Voice

Thanks for the heads up.

With EE broadband but until recently BT.

In truth I think EE TV and BT TV are the same thing so it could well be a service issue rather than my setup. Will try again tomorrow and see if there's any change.
