Hi we are new to having broadband, and have had the hub set up on Friday. The engineer left us to install the tv box. I have followed the instructions and have connected the aerial cable from the wall to the box, the hdmi lead and the power lead between the tv and the box. The box has an aqua light so the broadband is working, but nothing is connecting to the tv! I have watched a demo on ee for set up too, and I can’t see what I’ve done wrong. Can someone help as to what I am doing wrong please 😁

Most TVs would automatically switch to the relevant HDMI input if the cable is connected correctly. You could try pressing the source button on your TV remote (may just be a rectangle with an arrow pointing into it), to manually switch to the HDMI port that your box is connected to.

What you mean when you say nothing is connecting to the TV? You say you've connected the HDMI lead between the TV Box and your TV, so as long as the source on your TV is set correctly, you should see the video and menus from the TV Box.

Hi so all our tv has on the screen is no signal. Which is obviously because we have taken the aerial out of the back of the tv to put into the tv box. So we get no menus or start up produces. So I’m a bit lost to be honest as to what I’m doing wrong.

Ok, so that is the one on our actual tv remote. I will try that tonight. Now I’m not being stupid am I with the aerial. The lead still needs to be plugged to the external wall and connected to the ee tv box 😁

Yes, that's the recommended configuration.
If the issue was with the aerial signal then the TV Box would show an error on screen with instructions on what to do, rather than just a "No signal" message.

I have done what you said, there was a hdmi button on our tv remote, and it’s worked! Thanks so much for your help! 😁
