EE mini box won't record following "upgrade"

Hi, we were in a contract with BT/EE and had a box which did recording of TV programs. My wife upgraded her mobile and we were encouraged to "upgrade" the TV box.... However, it appears that the new upgraded EE mini box does not record!

What can we do about this and will EE send out a box which will record programs as we had before?

The predecessor to the Box Mini did not record either.

What happened to the recording box you had before? Do you still have it? Is it a Box Pro or an earlier box?

If it’s a Box Pro, then your ‘upgrade’ was to be sent a further box; this is always a Box Mini.

If it’s an earlier YouView box, then you should have been sent a Box Pro, as well as the Box Mini.

If you got your earlier box before 13/12/2019, then it’s yours to keep; if you got it later than that, then EETV will want it back.

Give EETV a call to complain and get things fixed, if they are not as described above. You never know, you might just get somebody who knows what they are doing.
