EE TV and Now TV account

Afternoon.

I have  an EE TV (Apple 4K and mini boxe) account with TNT sports package.  I also have a separate NOW TV account with Sky Sports but this is not the account that is connected with my EE TV.  Is there any simple way to get these sports channels added to the EE TV guide   

I dont mind having to watch the sky channels through the Now TV app but I'd prefer to have them in the TV guide.  However the Mini boxes keep logging into the different account that must have been setup in store when I signed up- meaning every time I want to watch sky sports through the Now TV app I have to manually sign out of one Now TV account and resign into the Now TV account with the subscription.

I have phoned EE but it seemed to be difficult to explain the issue.  I also went into an EE store but their only advice was wait for the 6 months of sports to run out  and then reactivate with the account that is associated with EE TV via the app.  (side issue my app functionality is half baked - ever since I switched from BT broadband)

So on the minibox in the Account - it says You're signed in as d*****pstone1 - Not an Email address. But all content available 

I dont recognise this.

In my email from EE that I had yesterday when I added the Full Works package - it says that my Now Acc is my normal email.

We still don’t have the picture yet 😢

But with this break in referential integrity, it will be only the EETV devices that can access the Full Works account, as they don’t rely on the email address - they have another way in.

But it looks as if the Apple TV Box isn’t using this ‘other way in’ on its Now app account, which is why it only works for you on the Box Minis. It’s a mess 😢

What does it say you are logged in as on the Now app on the Apple TV? I’m guessing this will be the email address you recognise, and not the d******pstone1 the Box Minis show.

You could try logging in to the Now app on the Apple TV with the d***** Id though; there’s a chance  it would email a password reset to your (duplicated) email address and let you gain access to that account on the old Id/password mechanism I described.

The ordering system only knows about one Now TV account - the one paired with the EE bill, which is the one your TV Box Mini is using.

The other one won't be merged in automatically - it needs to be done manually. When that's done, it will solve all of your issues.

My recommendation would be to email tv.apps@ee.co.uk with your EE account number, and the email address of the other Now TV account. Someone will pick it up Monday.

@dcump82 , according to an earlier post in this thread, thinks he’s done that, and EETV have actioned it.

I synced up with the guys earlier - no email from you @dcump82 . Is your issue now resolved?

Hi I’ve emailed the account as mentioned above but not heard anything as of yet? 

I had an out of the office reply to the above address  for Wednesday 13th October. ( I presumed that meant November?) 

Sorry, they've decided to shut down the mailbox now that I've left the company, so it was a bit harder than planned to get someone to fix it. I've called in a favour from an old colleague - you should be hearing from Stephen today.

Spent most of today trying to get to the answer. 20+ emails 

45 minutes on chat with Now TV
Now TV asked me to change my email address. 
EE tried to reset my EE/Now email Password but I just get an error message. 
Not had any emails for an hour so I suppose I’ll have to wait until Monday. 
in the meantime I’ve requested to terminate my account/EE TV and go back to sky.  I’ve not got days of my life to spend trying to find out a simple log in to a service. All the while paying double for something I can’t use.
