EE TV Pro Box Black Screen

Hi - am using the EE TV box pro. Whether watching live terrestrial TV or via apps I intermittently experience a black screen for a second or so before picture/sound resumes.

Have tried rebooting box, but it persists - any ideas on how to resolve?

Also worth trying the cable in a different HDMI port on your TV.

I have the exact same problem.  Tv works no problem using the tv tuner apps etc but as soon as I use the EE box for anything it  goes blank for a few seconds every 5 mins.

New EE router with disk plugged in directly to new EE tv  box.

450mb full fibre.

Any help would be amazing as I'm starting to look at going to the dark side (sky)

Are you able to try a different HDMI cable, or the HDMI cable in another TV slot?

I’ve just joined EE after being with sky for 20years. I’m having the exact same problem. I hate this EE box. There’s no voice control to quickly select channels. The guide menu is boring black screen with no pictures/thumbnails giving you an idea about the programs and I’ve just realised I can’t far forward adverts even when behind live tv. 24month contract what the hell have I done.

Solved

Update on problem.

I used a different hdmi cable than the one I got supplied and seems to be working perfectly now.

EE sent out a new box but got it fixed without usung it. Returned as ee were going to charge me £150.
