EE TV - Entertainment TV packages post 26th March

Looking at todays  official media release from Warner Bros. Europe it says

A new NOW Entertainment & HBO Max (Basic with Ads) bundle will be available from March 26. Existing NOW Entertainment Members will be automatically switched to the Entertainment & HBO Max Membership. Basic with Ads will also be integrated into the NOW platform.

Does this apply to existing and new EETV packages that include Now entertainment membership  ?

Also keen to know this. Also if on the Full Works tier will there be an option to have HBO Max Premium without ads?

An announcement about all the changes will come later this week, covering all the different combinations.

Will HBO max UK app be added automatically to EE TV box so we can go on watching cycling that is moving from discovery plus?

See my message above.  All the details will be provided long before the changes begin.

It looks like EE TV not having the ability include Ultra Boost is about to become a bit more painful.

Just saw that the packages including HBO Max won’t actually give access to the HBO Max app, and it will all run through NOW instead. HBO Max in 4K only available with Ultra Boost….which EE TV customers can’t get.

Not sure where you got your information from @BenJones90 but that is not correct.  HBO Max isn't 4K only - lower tier subscribers will still be able to access it.  Whether they want to or not is up to them - all the same content will continue to be available in the Now TV app too.

One possible reason for confusion is that HBO Max credentials won't be provided automatically for everyone - there'll be a process to request an activation link.  More details will be provided very soon (hopefully today).

Assuming BT/EE are doing their normal trick of being very very late to the party 😭

They are sending out emails to TNT Sports customers that link here:

I haven't got Now via EE so can't say if they have communicated what is happening there.

Nothing yet for entertainment customers as far as I know.

Hopefully there will be some sort of update for entertainment customers next week.

As that page is specifically for sports customers we will definitely have a different update as we should have some sort of HBO content included with the Now app at least.

As there are live stream channels in the Discovery plus it will be interesting what happens with that offering.
