EE TV Apple TV App Questions

Hi,

My Sky contract is coming up for renewal along with broadband.  I am very interested in EE TV Apple TV app as this looks like the only real solution to watch live channels on Apple TV in good quality.  Please could someone answer the following questions to help me make up my mind if I should switch?

1. I have Apple TV's already.  What is the difference between using my app or using an EE TV branded Apple TV?

2. What is the stream quality on BBC, ITV, Channel 4 etc?  Are they all 1080p HD? (Wondering if anyone has checked this via the developer HUD)

3. Is there any ability to watch recordings made on the pro box via the EE TV Apple TV app?  If not is that something that might come in the near future?

I have logged into a box mini with my ee login details and it says i’m not a eetv customer. The error code on the mini box is BTP-15000. On the apple box i have logged out and logged back in and still have error code AU910 and also says i need a subscription. I was watching it Friday on the day of the install no problem, with the new router, on the apple box. The eetv app on my phone seems to work. The only thing i have changed is the router to have a steady internet connection as the new router has this resetting issue.

The TV Box Mini and Apple TV both pick up your subscription from your broadband line - not from your login.  Could you please email me at tv.apps@ee.co.uk so that I can get further details - I can see 2 possible causes for this, but I'll need additional information from you.

I have emailed as requested and look forward to receiving a reply with what you think could be wrong.  I have had another go this evening with one of the mini boxes and did get it working when connected to the new router via ethernet cable but again, because of the router issue, i have reverted back to my old one. So surely the subscription must be connected to the router as well as the line other wise i would imagine these boxes should work through any router thats connected to the broadband line?
