EE TV App error GM001 and GW908

I used to be able to download a film from my purchases onto my tablet so that I could watch it when I have no access to the internet.

I tried this before going abroad and it downloaded the film, but when I went to watch it got error and decided it was because I was abroad

My husband is currently in hospital without internet. I decided to try again, I downloaded 2 films onto the samsung tablet but when I go to see if they will play get error message GM001

They can be played from the same tablet, if I am home with access to my internet, by just choosing from my purchases.

Can you no longer play from a download?

Hi

All sorted for now

Removing and reinstalled app did work

Also realised when error showed that device couldn't play in HD it offered chance to retry in SD. Initially when I clicked this option the film disappeared from downloads do I thought nothing was achieved. However, a few minutes later thd film reappeared in the downloads section as downloading again. After it downloaded it did play. So at the moment everything is resolved.  Thankyou

Hi @JackandFraz

Welcome to the community.

You should be able to watch downloads when you're offline. Could you try closing and re-loading the EE TV App?

Chris

Hi

Thankyou, I have uninstalled , restarted the samsung tablet and downloaded the app again.

The first film downloaded, but I got a new error message when trying to play it, stating my device couldnt play in HD form.

I deleted and tried another purchased film, this time it did play from the download

I cannot tell if I bought films in HD or SD and it doesnt show this on the purchase details

The storage on my tablet only lets me download a couple of films at any time.

I have found that I cannot download others as it states there is a restriction on times downloaded, I have downloaded and deleted films without viewing due  to errors received. Is there any way to reset the films so that I can try to download  again?

Hi @JackandFraz

Have you had a chance to try downloading again? Is it working any better now?

The normal restrictions  on downloads for purchases is on one device  at a time for the item. The error you got about HD is curious ,  would recommend that you take a screenshot if it occurs again, you should  be able to download and playback  regardless  as to whether  your original  purchase  was  an SD or HD version.
