New on EE using my Apple TVs aND MY SHINY NEW EE APPLE TV
I Have the full TV package at present And when I open a HD channel on the App inf view the program info it tells me I am viewing Say the Sky Sports HD program - but it also has a few Badges with the info :-
One is an “S”
One is a “G”
and One is an “AD”
there is usually the “S” with variations of the others
What do these mean am I watching the program in SD if the S shows ?
as it looks very much he same quality as the same program if i view from the Guide with SD from the menu (this may be due to my TV upsaling) ?

Normally in programme info
S would be subtitles available
AD indicates Audio Description available
G is guidance about the programme content .. .. maybe strong language / level of violence/ etc.. . often the programme info might give further information.

The S will stand for subtitles are available.
G is for Guidance advised I presume.
AD stands for Audio description being available.
