Hi, just in the process of switching from sky Q to EE.
A main bug bear of mine was that the Q system created it's own mesh for the mini boxes to connect to, please tell me that's not the case for EE TV mini boxes.
I have a Deco M4 mesh system and the sky boxes do occasionally cause conflict, so will be very happy if they connect to the main Deco network as opposed to their own.
I only plan to use the EE supplied router as a modem connected to my Deco system.
Thanks
Matt

EE TV is only supported on the EE provided router and extenders. Other hardware may work if configured to handle multicast correctly, but it isn't supported and if you have any issues with TV, you'll be asked to use the EE equipment to diagnose.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Ah, man, that's a bit of a bggie for me in all honesty.
I'll have to try the set up in the first for 14 days, if it doesn't work, I'll have to return the TV element under the 14 day cooling off period I guess.
I'm better off with just using an App on the smart TV's to access content, potentially

In better news, though, I don’t believe that the Pro box and Mini boxes communicate with each other at all.
They all do communicate with EE’s central servers, though, which might make it look like they are communicating with each other, as the central system determines if all the devices are properly authorised or not.
But this is all out on the WAN, not the LAN.

There have been a lot of threads on community.bt.com over the years discussing how to configure different routers to work for BT TV / EE TV. No-one has ever asked for help with TV on the Deco M4, so you may be lucky and it'll just work.
