@Porsha96 your spot on with your assessment and your not the only one that is disappointed with being mis-sold.
As @Chris_B and @Midnight_Voice have said, I would recommend checking out a fire stick or Roku stick or Roku express and plugging that into your TV. You will be able to get all the current UK apps on those.
This would save you swapping and returning your current box for an apple TV box.
No one knows if and when Disney plus will come to EE pro and mini boxes, but YouTube and Paramount plus came in 2024, so we can be hopeful that some more agreements could come this year.

I’ve had the same experience as you - very disappointing re Disney. I’m now paying for an App I can’t use on my TV, & also left with the Sky bill. Really not very happy & certainly won’t be recommending EE TV…..in fact I’d strongly recommend NOT using EE TV. Absolutely frustrated with the lies I was told when signing up, & now feel like I was bullied into switching. No need to get Apple TV though. It’s not ideal, but if you have a smart phone or tablet, you can have the Disney App on there & mirror your screen

You should be able to stop Disney month on month. Though are you sure it isn’t available on the TV itself?
As to being left with the Sky bill, what is that? If you switched to EE. before your minimum Sky term was up, that’s hardly their fault.
As to being bullied - was this over the phone, or in person?
Have you got the fourteen day cooling off period? Maybe you could use that and go back to Sky relatively unscathed…

Hi there @AEvans10, welcome to the EE Community!
We don't have access to accounts via the Community to check this directly, but if you have any concerns at all about the way your move over to us was sold, I would definitely recommend reaching out to our customer care team.
They'll be able to feed back the experience you've had here, and if you remain unhappy you can also find details of our complaints code of practice too.

Were you offered the EETV AppleTV box? You can get Disney on that, so there is a way that EETV ‘offer Disney+’.
But if you were offered the choice, and plumped for the Box Pro, you should have been warned there was no Disney+ on that 😢

Thank you for your reply. No I wasn’t offered Apple TV & wasn’t even aware there were options, but I did ask several times ‘I will definitely get all the channels I currently have, including Disney & Netflix’ & was assured every time that nothing would change.
I was also told I could cancel Netflix to save a further £15 a month, as Netflix is included. It’s not really though - unless you have basic package of 1 device, but I mentioned several times we had 4 devices. There is an upgrade for £10 a month so I can have 6 devices which of course will save £5 a month, but still lied about it, & for £5 a month I think I’d have not moved over to avoid the agro

Thanks Peter - appreciate the links. Will definitely do that. I’ve been with EE for many years, & have my business phones with EE since 2008 too, so I was happy to move everything over as I’ve never had an issue with EE in the past, but this has left a bitter taste for sure. Thanks again
