Disappointed of Tunbridge Wells

I am not one to leave reviews however I am so disappointed with EE TV I have decided to do so .

After being a reasonably happy Sky customer for a little over 20 years I decided to bite the bullet ,having grown tired of the constant price increases and the annual battle to get a better deal and move to EE TV , this has proved a big  mistake. I have now had the service for almost three months and I must say I am so frustrated with it. The sound is atrocious one minute whisper quiet the next ear piercing, never an issue with Sky . When using certain apps ie Apple TV , Netflix , Disney there is an awful lot of lag again never a problem making it unwatchable and the menu is far less intuitive . Is it a case of “you get what you pay for”. It shouldn’t be .

Whilst there are some common known issues with EETV, with some customers being dissatisfied following their move from Sky,  you demonstrate there are technical issues with your set up. There shouldn’t be so much of a lag content is unwatchable. This isn’t an expected or universal experience that EETV customers face.

Which box are you using? The EETV Pro box, EE TV mini or Apple TV? Is your equipment within 5 metres or so of the router, or connected by Ethernet (cable)? Another option might be to try another HDMI cable.

If your box is connected correctly, there might be a technical fault with your box or router so you might want to call customer services for a replacement.

On a separate note, the service is generally considered more basic than Sky Q and Sky Stream. There are fewer updates, including new apps and functionality. In fact, EE now sell Sky Stream as an alternative to EETV.
