Delay in Connection to Programmes

Recent Subscriber to EE, finding increasing delay in activation of EE Pro Box, it takes at least 5 mins to come alive and allow the selection of programme page, although it  does eventually open. I have Factory Reset it Several Times and have a BT WiFi Saucer in the vicinity of the TV, and a NetGear Booster at the bottom of the stairs, because  the BT Router is upstairs in my office. It's a modern  house with few Internal Brick walls, it's driving me mad if I want to watch something, But have to wait for Service Everytime, Unless I remember to Switch it on earlier.. Any Ideas at all, as its fairly obvious a Weak Hi Fi Signal Arriving in the Lounge, Maybe I need a More Powerful Router?

Which standby mode is the box in?

It should be in ‘SMART’ to power up in reasonable fashion. You can also check the WiFi signal in the settings.

Many thanks I will check it, but how do I check the Box Mode, as its either on or off?

Many Thanks for  your info  but after highlighting and Selecting Smart mode, on returning to this panel after switching on the TV again , to check ,...I find it has it reverted back to the Auto Standby 3 hour delay slow setting, as before  .how can I select Smart mode and get it to Stay at that setting ?....Many Thanks..

Also If I select the Home Button on the the EE remote ,before the Pro Box is ready, I get a square box asking to Edit Speed Dial and another one asking to Add to the Speed Dial ,I don't know what that is either. Sorry to be a trial  but I am curious as to what this is for...

Honestly, I have no idea what is going on here, I think you might need to get in touch with EE.

The Automatic Standby 3 hours setting is fine - I have that.

The one you want is on the next row down -SMART (Recommended). After changing to it, be sure to go back to Done, and press OK to save the setting,

To resolve any further oddness, though, I suggest you open Factory Reset in Settings, choose ‘Reset and keep recordings’ and press OK on that, as your box seems to be acting bizarrely, and this might bring it to its senses.
