@ We’ve just changed over to EE tv but when we press the on/off button on the remote it won’t switch the tv off. It goes off for a second and then returns to being on. Any ideas?

When you press the power button, it'll just turn the TV Box off.
Hold it down for 2 seconds to also turn the TV off.

Thanks Darren, when I do that it turns everything off and then a second later the tv comes back on but not fully into the channels but just on standby eg the screen is on and not fully switched off.

If your TV Box is already off when you press the power button for 2 seconds, it'll tell your TV to turn off, your TV Box to turn on, which itself will then cause the TV to turn on again.
With both the TV and TV Box on, hold the power button for 2 seconds. Does that work?

Sometimes yes and sometimes not… very strange!

Remember that it’s turning the TV Box off via Bluetooth, which doesn’t require the remote to be pointed at the box, but it’s turning the TV off via IR (infrared) which does require the remote to be pointed at the TV.
It’s natural to point the remote at the TV Box, which isn’t strictly needed, and this may be slightly off-beam for the remote. So point the remote at the TV instead; the Bluetooth for the TV Box doesn’t care about off-beam.

Hi, I spent ages trying to find out how and nobody could help.
EE, BT and Toshiba did not know.
Eventually I worked out how to do it (on my Toshiba).
To switch on I press the ''EE'' button and hold it for 2-seconds.
To switch off I press and hold the ''EE'' button for three full seconds and release. The TV green light does not turn red until half a second after I release the button. Box and TV off.
Hope this helps.
Martyn.
