Hi there. We recently changed over to an EE box. When we did the change over YouTube appeared on our TV. We didn't ask for this. The kids spend too much time watching it and not more structured programmes. EE say they can't remove it and we are therefore thinking of changing providers. That is a little inconvenient, but may have to be done. So the question, has anyone managed to remove this app from their TV ?

It's not possible to remove it - there are no hacks or workarounds.
You can enable parental controls on the TV Box though, which will require that a PIN is entered before the app can be used.
If you're using the EE provided hub then you can also block YouTube completely using the parental controls there too.

Almost every pay TV supplier or smart TV comes with YouTube so the parental controls on your router would be the only option.
