Can't sign in to EE TV android app

Hi All,

I'm new to EE TV (well I had it many years ago), and got EETV on Apple TV. After a disastrous start due to it not appearing on my account correctly and unable to active certain services, and a complaint and 3 weeks of back and forth I've got a nother slight issue.

I've downloaded the EETV app for Android, but I cannot sign in. When I click on sign in with EE broadband, I get to the point where I enter my email address and then I get a loading animation (two green bubbles spinning around)but never an option to enter my password. I wonder if it's because I've got passkey enabled on my EE login. But it doesn't go past that screen.

It's not the end of the world as I've finally got Discovery+ activated and can watch there. I've not got the energy to report to EE customer service via the phone, but it's not a great customer experience so thought I would point it out here.

You are correct - it's Passkeys causing the issue.  The app launches a web browser for login, but your device's default browser isn't supported (e.g. we're seeing quite a few Samsung devices now defaulting to AVC Browser, which doesn't work).  I have an app update currently being tested that will search for an installed supported browser and use that instead, however in the meantime you can work around the issue by installing Chrome, Edge, or Opera, and making it the default browser temporarily.  Once logged in, you can then switch back again.

Thanks @DarrenDev .

I use Microsoft Edge as my default browser. I've just installed chrome as per your suggestion and made this default and it's worked.

Many thanks.
