There's no reason to not be able to, and many others have.

If it's a One For All universal remote, the TV box remote codes are under YouView, not EE.

Edit: I haven't got my remote to check, but I think that the YouView box is under Sat/cable in the One For All app, not TV box.

That's the key information there - it's a YouView box (possibly known as a BT TV box).  EE TV had their own service a few years ago using a different box, which won't work.
