Aerial not recognised.

Hi all.

I have switched to EE TV and Broadband on Friday from virgin media  (boo) and when I have set up my box it didn't give me the option for aerial and has set up the box in wifi mode only.

I have rechecked the aerial and it works fine as it should when plugged into my TV. I have replugged it in to EE TV box pro and carried out a reset but keeping recorded programmes. Once again it gives me the the ethernet or wifi mode but no aerial option. I am struggling on how to sort the issue.

Any advice or guidance is appreciated. Thankyou in advance.

It doesn't give you an option @Kernowblue68 - if an aerial is connected then it uses it.  If it doesn't detect an aerial, it uses IP mode.  Your TV Box Pro is in aerial mode.

It asks for the internet connection regardless of TV mode.

Hi Darren.

Thankyou for your reply.

If my Box is in Aerial mode which I believe it is. I took the aerial connection out of the back of the box and pictures went until I reput it in.

Can you let me know why I can still only record two programmes at a time and not four as advertised in aerial mode.

Once again, thankyou for your time.

In Aerial mode, you can record up to 4 aerial channels, but a maximum 2 IP channels at the same time.  All the subscription channels (numbers 300-600) are delivered via IP.
