Network issues - website won’t show any detail

I have been trying for several days now to find out what is wrong with the 4G network in our area. The website is less than useless. After typing in username and password about a hundred times you are finally met with a red triangle saying “seirvce not avatilable, try agin later”. Does anyone at ee know how to check the network in my area and tell me when they plan on fixing it. No business server access for 3 days is having an impact.

Hi @BillTait

I've tested this on my personal account and have been able to log in and check a couple of different postcodes.

If you're still having problems, I suggest speaking with our technical support team again so they can take some information and look into it further for you.

Thanks
Chris

Assuming the website you refer to is the online status checker at https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker , you can sometimes get a different level of reliability by using the same tool via the myEE mobile app - follow "Help" on the bottom and then "connection issues"

All network faults are rectified as soon as possible, but fix times do depend on the nature of the fault and a few other factors.

Hi

thanks for the reply. I have tried both through the website and the app but without success. Both routes lead you to the same broken link with the red triangle and the try again later message. The help section on the business App doesn’t seem to show a link to ‘connection issues’ . The closest is ‘network and coverage’ which doesn’t have any helpful info. In recent years it was very easy to check for network faults in the area, report one and be given regular updates via SMS. Seems like that service is no longer available. I have spoken to an operator on 150 who couldn’t tell me what the fault was other than it was faulty and would be repaired by 6pm latest yesterday. It wasn’t. Hopefully this message posts to the community. The App has taken over an hour to open and a speed check shows our part of the country is running at less than 0.1MB. If anyone knows of a non broken link to a EE network checker please let me know.

Hi @BillTait

Thanks for coming to our community.

I have checked and the steps @bristolian gave should allow you to check your area and report an issue in there too. I can see you mentioned you are using the business app, so the issue could be specific to your account. Have you had any other issues using the app?

When you spoke to the team to check the area, did you mentioned that you were unable to access this feature?

Lesley

Hi lesley

network checking feature doesn’t work either on my account or any of the other 6 I pay for. All roads lead to a service not available message. If you are on the app, you get directed to the internet where you have to have an account and log in details. to check network status (why the privacy I wonder??). After entering username and password you get to a dead end. Tried another route. EEs own 150 internet page clearly states if you send the message ‘NETWORK STATUS’ to 150 you should get information. Lo and behold, that also doesn’t work. It seems nowadays EE are doing everything to stop people checking network status.  The only way is to phone 150 and speak to an operator.

Thanks Chris and thanks for checking your connection. Three people have now been able to check coverage so it must be how my account is set up. Perhaps because it’s a business account maybe??! Not sure why my account doesn’t work however I will contact the technical team. That is one big benefit of EE business, the technical support team are absolutely brilliant so I’m sure they can resolve it.

thanks again.
