Phones not working properly abroad even though I have a European add on.
Impossible to get in touch with anyone at EE been on hold over 35 minutes.
Absolutely disgraceful!!

In what way is your phone not working? Are you connected to a local network?
Irrespective of any billing add-on, did you enable the roaming facility before leaving the UK? This is normally done by texting ROAMING to 150.
