"Fraud calls from EE"

Hi i've had a call today from this number 

03338805846

they said they're EEs fraud team and my account has suspicious activity and they've cancelled my sim now and i can't use my number and they're sending me a new sim out.

Is this genuine EE or have i been scammed ?

Did the caller ask you to verify a PIN code at all? 

We recommend you call Customer Service immediately from a different phone to discuss your SIM card and ensure your account access is secure.
