I have had a text message from 1111 saying it is EE offering me free EU data roaming for being a loyal cystomer? It asks me to reply 'YES' to accept the offer by 26th March.
Is this legitimate or some sort of scam?
thanks,

EE typically send promotions and loyalty offers through from the number 1111.
If this is the case, it should be legitimate.

Hi, this is a legit offer, my wife just called EE.
We have 3 phones on our account and the free EI roaming has been added to all of them.

Has anyone had confirmation it has been activated and it’s showing on their plan?

I still haven’t had anything to say that it has been activated, and there is nothing showing on my account app etc. I did try calling this morning, ended up using the interactive chat thing, who assured me that it was active. However, she then went on to say that I should inform EE when I travel to the EU to make sure it is active! When using Roaming as an Inclusive Extra, I’ve never had to do that before….

I called them earlier, was advised that it will be activated on the 26th March, can possibly take 24 hours.
