Suspicious text

I had this text today which said:

EE: We were not able to process your most recent bill. Your EE services will be disabled unless your details updated via: [mod edit: removed to ensure safety]

I know it’s a scam but I googled the message and it automatically opened the link up so I logged in but stopped before entering my bank details.

the link itself is a genuine EE link and I’ve changed passwords now incase, anyone else had this?

It's a scam! There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to update your a/c.

Report it to your network provider by forwarding the text to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).

The link itself is NOT a genuine EE link. That domain, faked to look like EE, was only created today in USA. Browsers are already warning it's dangerous.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

Okay!

I entered my email and password but then stopped at bank details as I knew that wasn’t right.
changed my passwords on my other accounts.
