I had this text today which said:
EE: We were not able to process your most recent bill. Your EE services will be disabled unless your details updated via: [mod edit: removed to ensure safety]
I know it’s a scam but I googled the message and it automatically opened the link up so I logged in but stopped before entering my bank details.
the link itself is a genuine EE link and I’ve changed passwords now incase, anyone else had this?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

It's a scam! There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to update your a/c.
Report it to your network provider by forwarding the text to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).
The link itself is NOT a genuine EE link. That domain, faked to look like EE, was only created today in USA. Browsers are already warning it's dangerous.

Thanks for coming to the community and making other people aware of this scam message.
You have done the right thing changing your password for anywhere you use the same log in details.
If you do receive a message claiming to be from EE and you're not 100 % sure it's genuine, please send it to phishing@ee.co.uk for email or 7726 for texts as you have and this will be looked into.
