Suspicious Text

Tash01

I received a text message apparently from EE saying:

EE: We were NOT abIe to take payment for your biII. In order to avoid service cancellations, pIease visit: (REMOVED LINK FOR OTHERS SAFETY) now.

I presume this isn’t EE?

Hi @Tash01

That doesn't sound like a genuine message from us, as we'd not send you a link to pay, and as @Northerner mentioned, the link itself would be a hint, it would be ee.co.uk if it was from us.

Can you forward the text to 7726 so it can be reported as spam?

There is also some handy information on how to spot and avoid scams on our website.

Hi @Tash01

If your bill is up-to-date then yes. Plus the address in the link will give you a hint.

Thanks
