Sales Call from EE

Received a Sales Call from telephone number 01438 989232 saying they were EE.  Supposedly changed to a pay monthly from pay as you go.  Did not give any bank account details.  Was this really EE?

I just had a similar call. How, where and why do they have access to my account details and what is on my contract with EE?

Worth EE rethinking how its direct partners undertake calls. Had calls this week from this number and they immediately wanted me to ‘prove’ I was the correct person by reading back to them a OTP sent from EE. Only a fool would do that to an unsolicited caller these days. So either EE has a problem with scammers impersonating EE and should warn its customers or it should advise its direct partners to use other means to prove they’re talking to the right person without making customers do the very thing we’re regularly told not to do. Either way, EE has a problem it should act upon.
