Sales Call from EE

Received a Sales Call from telephone number 01438 989232 saying they were EE.  Supposedly changed to a pay monthly from pay as you go.  Did not give any bank account details.  Was this really EE?

I just had a similar call. How, where and why do they have access to my account details and what is on my contract with EE?
